Job summary

SYOS, based in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to contribute to software powering autonomous vehicle systems. You’ll join a dynamic, collaborative team delivering cutting-edge robotics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of commercial C++ software development experience.
• Experience with robotics, aerospace, autonomous or real-time software desirable.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures and software design principles.
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience with Python, ROS or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing or Docker.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll contribute to the design and development of core software applications that power our autonomous vehicle systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll take ownership of your own projects and modules while contributing across the full software development lifecycle.
