Job summary

Statistics New Zealand is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Security based in Wellington to lead the Security Uplift Programme. You will help stakeholders clarify and implement business capability needs, working with internal and external suppliers to design secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

You will coach other analysts, drive improvements in business analysis and security, and translate customer requirements into practical initiatives that enhance services and protect the organisation.

Qualifications

• 10 years' experience using business analysis tools and methodologies.
• Minimum five years at intermediate business analyst level.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ability to translate needs into practical initiatives to improve services.
• Experience drafting and getting policy approved.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

As a Senior Business Analyst - Security, you will be accountable for enabling and assisting your stakeholders to clarify, develop, and implement their business capability needs and objectives. You will work collaboratively with business and internal and external suppliers to identify viable, cost-effective enterprise solutions that contribute to Stats NZ's strategic direction.

To do this, you will need to lead, coach and support other business analysts, and actively contribute to the improvement of business analysis and security.

This role would suit someone who has:

• Experience in, and a passion for, Cyber Security.
• 10 years' experience using business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies - minimum five years at intermediate business analyst level.
• Experience working as a project manager or team member
• Professional certification and/or equivalent work experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to translate customer needs or requirements into practical initiatives to improve services or develop new services.
• Experience drafting and getting policy approved.
