Job summary

Christchurch City Council is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Three Waters Business Intelligence Unit on a 6‑month fixed‑term parental leave cover. You will review processes, drive operational efficiency, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise BI systems.

Qualifications

Five years of proven business analysis experience or more.
Experience with large or complex environments such as Three Waters is preferred.
Strong customer-facing, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review processes and identify areas for improvement to drive operational efficiency.
Analyse data from across the unit to generate insights and reporting.
Collaborate with Three Waters, Digital teams and stakeholders to ensure BI systems function effectively.
Gather business requirements for new projects, initiatives and reporting needs.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
