Job summary

The University of Canterbury's Digital Services seeks a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical design across complex digital initiatives in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.

You will lead stakeholder discovery, map processes, create clear requirements and artefacts, and support product managers through roadmaps and delivery with Agile/Lean practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within a complex IT or digital environment.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, data modelling, and process analysis.
• Proven success delivering digital or software solutions.
• Experience working with data and integration ecosystems.
• Experience preparing business cases, procurement documentation, and funding artefacts.
• Confidence facilitating large workshops and senior stakeholder discussions.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean delivery methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
