Job summary

Watercare Services Limited is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer - Biosolids to lead planning and technical workstreams for future biosolids servicing solutions. You will support the Mangere Biosolids Servicing Project and develop site-specific options across Watercare's wastewater network, collaborating with councils, iwi and internal teams to drive sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in planning, design or operation of wastewater treatment plants, landfills, or related infrastructure.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to influence and build stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in biosolids servicing solutions and regulatory frameworks is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and technical workstreams to support biosolids servicing solutions.
• Support delivery of the Mangere Biosolids Servicing Project.
• Develop strategies and site-specific biosolids servicing options across Watercare's network.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, councils and iwi.
• Provide technical oversight, reporting and financial management across projects.
• Support resource recovery initiatives and sustainable outcomes across the wastewater network.
