Job summary

Browning Auto Repairs in Kingsland, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join a well-equipped workshop. The role offers a senior hands-on position across servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs in a small, supportive team.

Applicants should be trade-qualified with strong diagnostic skills, able to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of jobs from diagnosis to completion. NZ driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with solid workshop experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across a variety of makes and models.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, including more complex issues.
• Undertake brake, suspension, cooling system and general mechanical repairs.
• Manage allocated jobs independently with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Support the workshop team and maintain high safety/workmanship standards.

Browning Auto Repairs is seeking an experienced and capable Senior Automotive Technician to join its established workshop in Kingsland, Auckland.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys a variety of mechanical work, takes pride in their workmanship and has the confidence to work independently.

You'll be joining a small, experienced team in a well-equipped, MTA-certified workshop, taking on a senior hands-on role across vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and mechanical repairs.

The Role

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across a variety of makes and models
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, including more complex issues
• Undertake brake, suspension, cooling system and general mechanical repairs
• Manage allocated jobs independently, ensuring quality workmanship and efficiency
• Use your experience and initiative to identify and resolve workshop issues
• Support the wider workshop team and maintain high standards of safety and workmanship

About You

• Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with solid workshop experience
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Confident carrying out servicing and repairs with minimal supervision
• Able to take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion
• Reliable, proactive and able to use your initiative
• Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
• Full NZ driver's licence and own basic mechanical tools
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
