Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking an automation-led Quality Engineer to design, build and maintain test automation and data validation across UI, API and data layers. You will lead quality engineering practices, coach teams, and ensure regulatory-aligned testing for Financial Crime solutions including NetReveal.

Strong hands-on automation, CI/CD integration, and experience with data testing and SQL validation are essential. Financial Crime domain knowledge is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering or Testing.
• Experience defining and implementing quality engineering best practices.
• Coaching, mentoring and quality reviews on teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead test strategies, quality standards, and release criteria.
• Coordinate functional, integration, regression, performance and UAT testing.
• Review requirements and designs for testability and quality outcomes.
• Coach and educate teams on QA practices and automation.
