Datacom in New Zealand is seeking a Senior AppSec Cybersecurity Consultant to lead application security services across our Cybersecurity and Connectivity team. You will shape delivery, advise clients, and guide teams to build secure software and resilient platforms.

The role emphasizes hands‑on expertise, collaboration with customers, and ongoing development of Datacom’s AppSec offerings while staying ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge across cybersecurity technologies and ability to discuss with diverse customers (OWASP focus).
• Experience leading professionals, direct or indirect.
• Experience in a service‑driven organisation focused on outcomes.
• Technically focused cybersecurity qualifications (certs welcomed).

Responsibilities

• Promote innovation, service quality, and delivery sustainability within the business.
• Collaborate with internal teams, wider business, and customers.
• Foster vendor relationships to support cybersecurity offerings from Consulting and Operations teams.
• Lead planning, development, and delivery of Application Security offerings and services.
• Drive passion for application cybersecurity, emerging tech, and solving client challenges.
