Metlifecare is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to evolve our data and analytics capability from descriptive reporting to predictive analytics and AI-driven decision making. You will lead advanced analytics, build scalable data products, and mentor a growing team.

You will work closely with the Data & Analytics Lead to shape standards, governance and the AI roadmap, delivering trusted data products across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Analytics/Data Engineer.
• Proven track record in leading analytics initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex concepts for a range of stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach with a coaching mindset.
• Experience in healthcare, aged care or retirement living is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex analytics, predictive modelling and machine learning solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data products using Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Python and Power BI.
• Design dimensional models, semantic layers and AI-ready data products for self-service analytics.
• Develop, deploy and manage production machine learning models with monitoring and optimization.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data can drive value and outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring and coaching.
• Champion best practice across analytics engineering, testing, CI/CD, documentation and governance.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and shape the future analytics and AI roadmap.

This is a pivotal opportunity to help shape Metlifecare's data and analytics capability as we continue our journey from descriptive reporting to predictive analytics and AI-driven decision making.

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Analytics Engineer who is equally passionate about building scalable data solutions and mentoring others. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will lead the design and delivery of advanced analytics, predictive modelling and machine learning solutions that support smarter business decisions across the organisation. Working closely with the Data & Analytics Lead, you will assist in building trusted data products, influence technical standards, and mentor fellow Analytics Engineers.

Kery Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex analytics, predictive modelling and machine learning solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data products using Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Python and Power BI.
• Design dimensional models, semantic layers and AI-ready data products that enable self-service analytics.
• Develop, deploy and manage production machine learning models, including performance monitoring and ongoing optimisation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data can drive value and better outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring and coaching.
• Champion best practice across analytics engineering, testing, CI/CD, documentation and data governance.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and help shape the future analytics and AI roadmap.

About you

With 5years + experienced as an Analytics/Data Engineer you combine strong technical expertise with a passion for solving complex business problems. You will bring proven experience leading analytics initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and mentoring others while helping build a modern, scalable data and analytics capability.

• Experience within healthcare, aged care or retirement living would be advantageous, but is not essential.
