Job summary

The New Zealand Government's Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Wellington is seeking a Senior Advisor, Analytics to turn workforce and organisational data into actionable insights for leaders. This permanent, full-time role focuses on reporting, dashboards, and strategic performance analysis to support decisions.

You'll collaborate with People and Culture, Finance, and other teams to deliver high-quality reporting, build data literacy, and advance responsible AI and data quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in public sector reporting and performance measurement.
• Understanding of HR data and workforce metrics is advantageous.
• Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with Power BI and RStudio is helpful.
• Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality corporate reporting and dashboards.
• Provide workforce data analysis for quarterly reporting and papers.
• Lead the carbon neutral analytics and reporting.
• Develop and implement reporting on AI to inform decisions and support responsible AI adoption.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and reporting processes.
