Job summary

NZ Supa Trading Limited (Sunnytech Solar) seeks a Business Analyst to study NZ and international markets for solar, lithium battery storage, and EVs and translate research into actionable insights for the management team.

Working with directors and sales, technical, and operations teams, you will size opportunities, model commercial cases, and present recommendations to shape expansion over the next three to five years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business analysis, economics, engineering, energy systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years in industry research, market analysis, or commercial strategy.
• Ability to carry out independent market and industry research with defensible conclusions.
• Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills and modeling in Excel or similar.
• English communication skills to prepare reports and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Research NZ and overseas markets for solar, battery storage, EVs, and charging infra.
• Track competitors and distribution channels, benchmark Sunnytech Solar.
• Build an evidence base from industry data and internal records; produce insights.
• Evaluate new business models and revenue streams; assess capital needs and risks.
• Prepare feasibility studies and business cases for management review.
• Assess suppliers, OEM options, costs, lead times, and compliance.
• Gather market intelligence from customers, installers, and industry events.
• Analyze current sales-to-delivery workflow and suggest process changes.
