Job summary

Massey University - Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa on the Palmerston North Campus is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead IT planning and resourcing. The role focuses on planning, prioritisation, and resource management across a complex IT portfolio to support teaching, research and operations.

You'll provide strategic analysis and insights that inform technology investment decisions, monitor demand and capacity, and work with stakeholders to align delivery with the university's priorities and future

Qualifications

• Experience in portfolio planning, resource management, demand management, or business performance analysis within an IT environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into practical insights and recommendations.
• Experience supporting planning, prioritisation, and decision-making across multiple projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Salary Range: Grade 7 | $83,818 - $117,788

Join Massey University's Information Technology Services team on Palmerston North Campus and play a key role in shaping the planning, prioritisation, and resource management of a complex and dynamic IT portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic analysis and insights that support informed decision‑making, ensuring technology investment and delivery align with the University's priorities and future direction. Working across ITS, you'll provide visibility of demand, capacity, resources, and delivery performance while supporting governance processes and enabling effective portfolio planning.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the University to identify opportunities, manage competing priorities, and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives that support teaching, research, and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring
