Job summary

The Environmental Protection Authority is seeking a Senior ETS Analyst, Operations in Wellington for a fixed-term 6-month role. You will provide high-quality analysis, strategic advice and implementation support across operational improvement initiatives, working with colleagues across the EPA and government to solve complex problems and deliver trusted regulatory services.

The position requires strong analytical and regulatory skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead projects

About the role |Mōtetūnga


This is a fixed-term role for 6 months. We are also open to inter-agency secondments.

This role is based in our Wellington office. Whilewe'rehappy to consider work-from-home arrangements, this role is not designed for full-time remote working.

As a Senior ETS Analyst, Operations,you'llprovide high-quality analysis, strategicadviceand implementation support across a range of operational and improvement initiatives.You'llwork with colleagues across the EPA and government toidentifyopportunities, solve complex problems and support delivery of a trusted regulatory service.

Typical responsibilities include:

Providing analysis and advice on operational,strategicand legislative issues

Supporting complex decision-making within the ETS framework

Leading or contributing to business improvement and change initiatives

Building productive relationships with stakeholders across government and industry

Coaching and mentoring analysts and contributing to team capability

Success in this role means delivering practical, evidence-based solutions, supporting high-quality operationaloutcomesand helpingmaintainconfidence in the integrity of New Zealand's Emissions Trading Scheme.

Salary range

$90,801- $136,201per annum (midpoint$113,501).

This is the full salary range of the band, from 80% - 120%. Appointments willgenerally bemade at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience.
