The Commercial Performance Division is responsible for strategic oversight of the government's commercial entities, mixed-ownership entities, Crown Financial Institutions, and other Crown entities. We deliver expert advice on entity governance, ownership frameworks, and options to optimise financial and non-financial performance. We lead the advisory process for the government’s substantial commercial dealings, support alignment between entities and broader government objectives, and lead the Export Credit office.

As part of this permanentopportunity, you will contribute to a varied programme of work, including stewardship and adaptation of our entity monitoring operating model, stewardship of our legislative and regulatory frameworks, and wider system enhancements. The specific focus of the role will be shaped by the successful candidate’s skills, experience and development interests.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in public sector policy. Experience with economic, commercial or regulatory policy advice would be an advantage, but is not essential. If you have experience working through critical and complex policy areas, and can use your communication, leadership, relationship and analytical skills to bring structure, momentum and delivery focus to your work, then we would like to hear from you.
You will need at least 4.5 years of relevant policy experience. You may already be operating confidently at Senior Analyst level or be ready to step into a senior role with the right support.
