Job summary

Pushpay seeks a Staff AI Platform Engineer to architect, run, and scale our internal agentic platforms and developer tooling. You will own operational discipline, cost governance, evaluation suites, and production reliability to empower every engineer.

You will drive AI safety, define context retrieval (RAG), SLOs/SLIs, and enable organization-wide adoption of tools like Claude Code and MCP implementations through collaboration and credibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with significant time as a technical lead in Platform/Infra/DevEx.
• Production agentic experience managing non-deterministic workloads, including cost governance, tracing, and eval pipelines.
• Backend & Cloud mastery with C# or Python and strong AWS cloud-native expertise.
• Developer empathy and leadership to drive tool adoption and standards across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build Agentic Systems: design internal supervisor loops, router patterns, and state machines.
• Run Workloads at Scale: establish SLOs, latency targets, token efficiency, and incident response when agents misbehave.
• Elevate Developer Experience: optimize build/CI, local dev setups, and tune AWS serverless architectures.
• Set the Bar for AI Safety & Quality: define reusable component models, context retrieval, and guardrails.
