Job summary

Financial Markets Authority in Auckland seeks a Senior Adviser, Investment Management to help regulate and supervise Aotearoa’s investment management sector, including KiwiSaver and discretionary investment management services. Qualifications

• Strong industry experience within investment management, regulatory, risk, compliance, or professional services sectors.
• Knowledge of KiwiSaver and managed investment schemes is highly advantageous.
• Experience with discretionary investment management services (DIMS) and derivatives issuers (DI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise participants across the managed investment sector.
• Undertake detailed analysis of regulatory and conduct issues with evidence-based conclusions.
• Respond to reactive matters, including potential regulatory breaches.
• Provide high-quality advice, correspondence, and decision materials to support regulatory action.
• Produce public guidance and research to improve investor outcomes.
• Contribute to product design, disclosure, and integrity improvements in the sector.
