# Senior Adult Learning Tutor at NZ Defence Force, Nelson - Marlborough## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Mō te tūnga | About the role**This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator and people leader to make a meaningful impact across the New Zealand Defence Force.As the Senior Adult Learning Tutor, you will support Adult Learning Tutors and provide expert advice, coaching and support to learners, instructors and stakeholders across the Woodbourne region. You will play a key role in developing and delivering adult learning programmes, literacy and numeracy support, learning pathways and educational guidance that help NZDF personnel achieve their professional and academic goals.Based at Woodbourne Military Camp, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of learning services, mentoring staff, and promoting best-practice adult learning approaches. You will work closely with military schools, units and external education providers to ensure learners and instructors receive support as they complete vocational training.This role offers a unique combination of delivery and instructor support, with opportunities to contribute to learning excellence across the NZDF.**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience**To be successful in this role, you will bring a genuine passion for supporting adult learners to succeed.You will have:* Experience working within a team in an education, training or learning environment;* Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, workplace literacy and numeracy, and learner support practices* Experience coaching, mentoring and developing both learners and instructors* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills* Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities* Confidence using technology and contemporary learning tools, including online and blended learning platforms.Ideally, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, or a relevant tertiary qualification combined with adult education expertise.
