Findex is seeking an Accounting Professional to join our Oamaru team in a role that blends client-facing accounting with advisory services. You will prepare financial statements, tax returns, and provide business insights to support decision-making, reporting to stakeholders in your portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven accounting experience within public practice.
• CA qualification preferred.
• A genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to the team.
• Fantastic people skills and a passion for accounting and business advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for clients, drawing on strong technical skills across income tax, company tax, GST, FBT, trusts, management accounting and reporting requirements
• Assisting with business advice and complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations
• Working with project-related financials — budgeting, cash flow management, forecasting and cost tracking to support financial decision-making
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients
• Bringing a proactive, self-motivated attitude, equally comfortable working solo or as part of a team
