Job summary

Findex in Auckland is seeking an accounting professional to join our business advisory team. You’ll support businesses with their accounting requirements, learning from experienced mentors and benefiting from a clear progression path.

You’ll collaborate across tax, financial statements, and advisory services, using leading accounting software and maintaining well‑organised documentation. CA or CPA qualification or working towards it is desirable.

Qualifications

• Some experience in public practice accounting, ideally within business advisory.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards qualification (desirable).
• Broad knowledge of tax, accounting, and business advisory.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and client relationship management.
• Team-focused with a proactive, can‑do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tax returns, financial statements, business advice reports and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses.
• Managing client communications and queries, delivering consistently high-quality service.
• Working across leading accounting software systems, helping clients get the most from their tools
• Maintaining accurate, well‑organised documentation in line with Findex's compliance requirements.
• Contributing to a positive team culture, leading by example and championing best‑practice ways of working.
