The University of Auckland is seeking a Security Officer to join the Campus Security team at Waipapa Taumata Rau. You will help protect staff, students and visitors, working across a large campus with extensive CCTV and access controls.
The role operates on a 24/7 rotating roster (40 hours/week) and offers a salary range of NZ$60,000–NZ$64,000, negotiable by experience. NZQA Level 2 Security and COA are required, plus a NZ Driver’s Licence and Police clearance.
We are seeking aSecurity Officer (known internally as secrutiy services officer)to join our Campus Security team at Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland.
You will work as part of a professional, close‑knit team providing a wide range of security services to staff, students, VIPs, and visitors, while protecting the University’s assets and property. The University operates one of the largest access‑control and CCTV systems in the Southern Hemisphere, supporting a diverse and complex campus environment.
These roles operate on a24‑hour rotating five‑week roster, covering morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Officers are assigned to one of six City Campus sectors and are primarily foot‑based, with Team Leaders utilising security vehicles.
