Job summary

CGR Services is assisting a well-established Gisborne secondary school in finding an experienced Maths teacher. You will teach Mathematics across Years 9-13, delivering a mix of face-to-face and online lessons with strong tech-enabled delivery.

Recent NZ classroom experience and solid knowledge of NZ Curriculum and NCEA are essential. You will thrive in a structured environment with supportive leadership and plenty of collaboration.

We’re working with a well-established, values-based secondary school in Gisborne looking for an experienced Maths teacher to join their team.

About the Role

You’ll teach Mathematics across Years 9-13, working with students both onsite and through an established online teaching model.

Technology plays an important part in how learning is delivered, so this role will suit someone who is comfortable adapting between face-to-face and online teaching and enjoys using digital tools to keep students engaged.

You’ll work within a structured environment with clear systems, shared resources, and strong leadership support, allowing you to focus on quality teaching and student outcomes.

About You

We’re looking for a NZ registered teacher who:

• Has recent teaching experience within a New Zealand secondary school
• Has strong knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and NCEA
• Is confident teaching Mathematics across junior and senior secondary levels
• Is comfortable with technology and willing to deliver lessons online
• Builds positive, respectful relationships with students
• Is organised, adaptable, and comfortable working within clear systems
• Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative teaching environment

Recent NZ classroom experience is essential for this position, with NCEA teaching experience strongly preferred.
