Job summary

Raglan Holiday Park Papahua is seeking a hands-on Caretaker to help keep our holiday park operating at its best, with a focus on safety, repair work and guest comfort.

You’ll perform maintenance across buildings and grounds, support housekeeping, manage waste systems, check LPG bottles, and assist on after-hours rosters. Flexibility for early December start through mid-April is required.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on maintenance or caretaking experience.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer-service focus.
• Commitment to health, safety and looking out for others.
• Willingness to engage with Te Ao Māori and tikanga Māori.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general repairs and maintenance across the holiday park.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, equipment and facilities to a high standard.
• Prepare accommodation units for guest arrivals.
• Manage waste, recycling and compost systems.
• Check and change LPG gas bottles as required.
• Assist with housekeeping when needed.
• Work safely and promote Zero Harm culture.
• Identify maintenance issues before they escalate.
