Job summary

Suncrest Orchard is seeking a Seasonal Packhouse Supervisor in Otago to start mid-November and run through the cherry export season. You will oversee the packing line, train staff, and ensure high quality standards with strict health and safety compliance.

The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week, hourly pay, fixed-term agreements, and orchard accommodation. An end-of-season bonus is payable if you work to season end.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy in records and reports.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the packing line during the cherry season.
• Supervise and motivate packhouse staff; participate in inductions and training.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate with team for smooth workflow.
