Job summary

Balle Bros Growers Limited in New Zealand is seeking forklift operators to support the onion and potato harvest season from November 2026 to March 2027.

You will safely operate forklifts to load and unload tractors and trucks, with weekend and public holiday work possible during peak season. Flexible hours and local work available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Forklift Certificate.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
• Must have a current New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Weekend and public holiday work may be required during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts in the harvest environment, loading and unloading tractors and trucks.
• Assist with unloading orders and supporting harvest operations from November 2026 to March 2027.
• Maintain safety standards and report any equipment issues promptly.

Forklift Operator

We are currently looking for forklift operators to join our team for the upcoming onion, potato harvest season, running from November 2026 through to the end of March 2027. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts in the field, loading and unloading tractors and trucks to ensure the harvest runs smoothly and efficiently. Weekend and public holiday work may be required during peak season. Flexible work is essential.

About You

• Previous horticulture experience (preferred but not essential)
• Current Forklift Certificate
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication skills
• Able to work flexible workdays and hours
• A good level of physical fitness
• A current New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence
