Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) in Dunedin is seeking a hands-on logistics assistant to support our AB Base Supervisor during the peak season. You will organise and deliver time-critical Artificial Breeding products on time, using LIC branded vehicles across the Otago region.

The role is based at Dunedin Airport Depot and involves a 7-day operation with rostered days and variable hours. Night driving and lifting up to 20 kg are required, with a full NZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Full, clean NZ driver’s license with an excellent driving record and comfortable driving at night.
• Physically fit and able to lift 20kg to meet the role’s demands.
• Experience in logistics and delivering in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
• Willingness to work 7 days per week with rostered days.
• Self-starter with good time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver time-critical Artificial Breeding products, in full, on time, every time.
• Make deliveries in LIC branded vehicles across the Otago region from the Dunedin Airport Depot.
• Adhere to Health & Safety practices while handling products and driving at night.

Your Role:

This role is part of the Operations & Service Team who are responsible for delivering on the promise we make to our customers on farm.
You will support our Artificial Breeding (AB) Base Supervisor during the upcoming peak season by organising and delivering time critical Artificial Breeding products, in full, on time, every time.

• The role is based atour Dunedin Airport Depotand you’ll be making deliveries in our LIC brandedvehicles,around the Otago region.

• This is a 7 day a week operation with rostered days and variable hours.

• The role supports during our peak season, which runs from October to December.

About You:

With a can-do attitude, you will be a self-starter with exceptional time management and communication skills. Previous experience in logistics, liquid nitrogen and transferring of frozen straws would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

• Good initiative and common sense, as you’ll will be working autonomously.

• Be physically fit and able to comfortably lift 20kgs, to keep up with the demands of the role.
