Suncrest Orchard is seeking motivated individuals to join our bird control team for the 2026-27 season. Positions run from mid/late November to late January/early February, using trapping, shooting, robots and noise to protect orchard crops.

A current firearms licence and a clean police record are essential. Accommodation may be available for eligible applicants.

Suncrest Orchard is a key player in the Central Otago cherry industry and we have been exporting premium cherries for over 25 years.

We are seeking motivated & enthusiastic individuals to join our bird control team for the 2026-27 season.

The positions will start in mid/late November and go through until the end of the bird control season in late January/early February.

We use a variety of methods of bird control on the orchard including trapping, shooting, robots and driving around making noise!

A current fire-arms licence and a clean police record are essential. May be able to assist with accommodation.
