Job summary

St Peter's College (Gore) is seeking a Science teacher who can teach Biology up to and including NCEA Level 3 to join the college at the start of 2027. The Science department is well resourced, with labs renovated in the last 3 years.

We are a Catholic School founded in 1969, with many students from farms. Applications from beginning teachers are welcome, provided you have NZ teaching registration and a current visa if required.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach Biology up to NCEA Level 3.
• Proven ability to teach Science to a range of year groups.
• NZ teacher registration or eligible to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to lab-based learning and student assessment.

We are seeking a Science teacher who can teach Biology up to and including NCEA Level 3 to join our college at the start of 2027. The Science department is well resourced, with the labs having been renovated in the last 3 years.

We are a Catholic School founded by the Rosminian Fathers and Mercy Sisters in 1969. A large portion of our students come from farms and the surrounding district. Our school is a restorative practice and PB4L school that values each student as an individual.
