Job summary

Pukekohe High School, situated on the southern fringes of Auckland, invites a Certificated science teacher to join its vibrant, supportive team. You will teach Years 9–13 with an agriculture-horticulture focus where applicable, delivering engaging lessons and contributing to school culture and curriculum planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered (or eligible for registration) NZ teacher with current practicing certificate.
• Strong knowledge of science curriculum and pedagogy.
• Experience in culturally responsive teaching and co-curricular engagement is desirable.

Pukekohe High School is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic science teacher with the ability to teach agriculture-horticulture to join our dynamic and supportive team. If you are passionate about empowering young students and fostering their success, we want to hear from you!

Ideal candidate will have good pedagogical and curriculum knowledge, strong classroom management skills and is passionate about helping students learn.

The terms and conditions for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement . The salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 to $105,686, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
