Job summary

Maraenui Bilingual School (Napier) in Hawke's Bay seeks a part-time Scale A Technology Teacher to work with senior primary students (Year 6–8). The role is a permanent position up to 0.3 FTE and may be combined with other specialist teaching duties to form a full-time role.

The successful applicant will explore the technology curriculum through an Ao Māori lens and be part of a Manaiakalani school committed to Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) kaupapa.

Qualifications

• Registered NZ teacher with current practising certificate.
• Experience teaching technology to primary/intermediate students.
• Commitment to Ao Māori approaches and Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI).

Responsibilities

• Teach technology to Years 6–8 (senior primary).
• Develop and deliver technology curriculum with a Māori lens.
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student learning.
• Possibility to combine with other roles to create a full-time position.

Technology teacher for our senior primary students (Year 6,7,8). If you are keen to explore the technology curriculum with an Ao Māori lens, consider yourself a bit of a McGyver, and love pre-teens then this is the perfect job for you. This position can be combined with LSC and specialist teacher positions also advertised to make a full-time position. We are a Manaiakalani school and are committed to the Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) kaupapa.
