Job summary

Capgemini New Zealand is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to manage and optimize our SAP infrastructure across DEV, QA, and PROD. You will oversee installations, patches, upgrades, security, performance tuning, and ensure high availability of mission-critical SAP systems.

The role requires 5–8 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, migration and S/4HANA conversion know-how, and strong Linux/Unix and database skills.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience with SAP system migrations, upgrades, and S/4HANA conversion projects from ECC.
  • Expertise across multiple SAP platforms, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, or CRM.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, administration, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience managing SAP landscapes across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, plus SAP HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server databases.
  • Exposure to SAP RISE, SAP Joule, SAP BAIP, SAP Cloud ALM, and cloud-based SAP solutions (BTP/SAP Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of SAP security, compliance requirements, disaster recovery, high availability, and system replication technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, change and release management processes, and automation/scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to manage production incidents and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to production incidents.

Your Role

Your Profile
