Premier Staffing Solutions in Auckland is seeking a trainee Account Manager to join our West Auckland team. This genuinely junior role starts with a six-month rookie programme designed to expose you to every part of the recruitment process, with promotion possible after six months.
You will be on the road and in the office, spending time on the phone, visiting worksites, meeting clients and supporting our temporary workers.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
Are you a sales weapon looking to advance your career and earning potential?
Have you ever thought about recruitment?
We’re looking for a Trainee Account Manager to join our West Auckland team.
A couple of years ago, we made the decision to stop hiring experienced recruiters.
Why? Because we found that experience on paper didn’t necessarily mean someone could operate at the level we expect. So instead, we developed our own "Rookie Program" and started looking for people with raw sales ability, drive and the right attitude.
We’ve run this exact advert twice before. Both times, we found a budding superstar. Both are still with us today, and one has already been promoted to Senior Consultant.
Now we’re looking for the next one.
We’re a blue-collar recruitment agency supplying temporary staff to construction, manufacturing and warehousing businesses across Auckland.
Recruitment isn’t easy - but then, what good sales job is?
My name is Mark, and I’m one of the Directors. My own background is in the motor vehicle and direct sales industries. I moved into recruitment because it allowed me to earn good money without the late nights and weekend work that often comes with traditional sales roles.
I could provide well for my family and actually have a life outside work.
That’s the opportunity we want to offer the right person.
This is genuinely a trainee position.
Our rookie programme runs over approximately six months and is designed to expose you to every part of the recruitment process. If you meet the mark in six months, you will be promoted.
As your skills develop, you’ll gradually take ownership of different areas of the role and eventually manage your own clients, candidates and business.
You will be pushed outside your comfort zone.
You will learn a lot.
And this definitely isn’t a job where you sit behind a desk all day.
You’ll spend plenty of time on the phone, but you’ll also be out on the road prospecting, attending client meetings, visiting worksites and catching up with our temporary workers.
Full training into a potentially life-changing career – Competitive salary, bonus structure and benefits designed to attract high performers.
Real earning potential – Recruitment rewards people who can sell, build relationships and consistently deliver.
Genuine career progression – We’re ambitious and growing, and we want people who can grow with us.
Build your own network and market – Become the go-to recruiter for businesses across Auckland’s blue-collar industries.
Work-life balance – We love the hustle, but we also value family, fitness, fishing, sailing, surfing, diving... you get the idea. We work hard, get things done and specialise in getting everything done and out the door early on Fridays.
Direct access to the Directors – You’ll work closely with people who have built the business and are prepared to invest time into your development.
We’re not looking for recruitment experience.
We’re looking for someone with the raw ingredients to become an exceptional recruiter:
Resilience, hustle and integrity – this is a relationship-driven business and repeat business is everything.
At least 5 years of sales experience – it doesn’t need to be recruitment.
A genuine desire to learn and develop.
Self-motivation – we can teach you what to do, but the drive has to come from you.
Confidence – on the phone, face-to-face and walking into businesses you’ve never dealt with before.
Commercial hunger – you should want to earn good money, build relationships and grow a business.
A competitive streak – you should enjoy targets, winning business and seeing results from your effort.
Learn — a lot.
You’ll learn our industries, clients and jobs inside out so you can eventually provide genuine recruitment advice rather than simply filling vacancies.
Resource staff.
Job adverts, candidate calls, phone screens, interviews, reference checks and matching people to the right jobs.
Sell. A lot.
Prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, client visits, meetings and developing new business.
Visit sites.
Get out of the office, meet our clients and workers and understand what is actually happening on the ground.
Handle the admin.
Cross the T’s, dot the I’s and keep your desk, candidates, CRM and processes organised.
This role involves being both on the road and in the office, so you’ll need to be confident dealing with people in person as well as over the phone.
You must also:
Hold a full Class 1 NZ driver licence
Have full working rights in New Zealand
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment
We’re ambitious, we’re growing, and for the right person there are genuine opportunities to progress quickly and earn very good money.
