Job summary

Hannahs Shoes in Hastings is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the Plaza team. This part-time role (4.75 hours weekly) includes Saturday shifts from 8:45 to 14:00, providing friendly customer service and helping shoppers find the right footwear.

You'll maintain store standards, support POS transactions, and assist with stock and daily duties. A positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to work weekends are important; staff discounts and training are offered.

The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Hastings Plazateam.

Hours: 4.75 hours per week (Saturday: 8:45-14:00)

In this role, you’ll :

• Help customers find the right products and sizes, providing a friendly, welcoming experience every day.
  
• Maintain store standards, keeping displays tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
  
• Support operational tasks including point-of-sale transactions, stock replenishment, and daily store duties.
• Contribute to team goals, helping the store succeed and supporting your colleagues.

What You’ll Deliver in This Role:

• Customer Experience & Sales: Deliver our “Every Day Great Experience” (EDGE) by engaging customers, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice. Achieve personal and team sales targets while upselling and maximising the customer experience.
  
• Store Presentation & Standards: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, and promotions are executed accurately.
  
• Operational Support: Assist with stock, deliveries, and transfers. Follow cash-handling procedures and store security practices. Support opening and closing duties as required .
  
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with your Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and team members. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
