Job summary

Hannahs Shoes in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty is hiring a Sales Assistant to join our Rotorua team. This part-time role offers 12 hours per week with Friday and Saturday shifts, perfect for customers who love helping people and enjoy retail.

You'll assist customers, keep displays tidy, handle POS and stock replenishment, and contribute to a friendly store culture. Experience is a bonus, but training and staff discounts come with the position.

The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Rotoruateam.

Hours: 12 hours per week (Friday: 10:00-16:00, Saturday: 10:00-16:00)

In this role, you'll :

• Help customers find the right products and sizes, providing a friendly, welcoming experience every day.
  
• Maintain store standards, keeping displays tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
  
• Support operational tasks including point-of-sale transactions, stock replenishment, and daily store duties.
• Contribute to team goals, helping the store succeed and supporting your colleagues.

What You’ll Deliver in This Role:

• Customer Experience & Sales: Deliver our "Every Day Great Experience" (EDGE) by engaging customers, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice. Achieve personal and team sales targets while upselling and maximising the customer experience.
  
• Store Presentation & Standards: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, and promotions are executed accurately.
  
• Operational Support: Assist with stock, deliveries, and transfers. Follow cash-handling procedures and store security practices. Support opening and closing duties as required .
  
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with your Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and team members. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
