Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Pacific Doors is seeking a strategic Health, Safety and Quality leader to drive our safety and compliance agenda across three sites in New Zealand. You will shape the strategy, partner with leaders, strengthen safety culture and manage risk and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, corrective actions, licensing and competency, and ongoing improvement of SOPs and governance to ensure a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety within manufacturing or multi-site environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in health and safety transformation.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience overseeing workforce compliance programs, licences, competencies and training.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive operational ownership of safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health, Safety and Quality strategy and transformation across the Door Group in New Zealand.
• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability.
• Simplify and enhance safety systems, governance and reporting.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Manage safety audits, compliance frameworks and regulatory engagement.
• Oversee licensing, competency and training management to ensure workforce readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement of safety and quality policies, procedures, systems and practices.
• Develop tools and programmes to enhance safety knowledge and performance.
• Coach and guide across the organisation to build capability.
