Job summary

PGG Wrightson in Whangarei is seeking a Technical Field Representative to deliver technical and sales advice to existing clients and pursue new opportunities across the Whangarei region. You will work with the store team and wider business, sharing knowledge and providing practical sales support, with travel across the region.

Applicants should have in-depth knowledge of NZ rural sector, dairy, sheep and beef farming, strong communication, and a current NZ driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the New Zealand rural sector.
• Understanding of current dairy, sheep and beef farming practices.
• Sales oriented with ability to develop new business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs and provide sound and accurate product and farming advice.
• Build farm systems solutions alongside client farming practices.
• Communicate new technologies and technical knowledge to clients.
• Be readily available to clients as a source of technical knowledge and information and complete requests in line with PGG Wrightson's service standards.
• Assist clients, colleagues and suppliers to answer queries and resolve problems.
