Omakere School invites a dedicated Certificated teacher to lead learning in a small rural community within Central Hawke’s Bay. You will deliver a broad primary curriculum, build strong learner relationships, and collaborate with a supportive team to enhance student outcomes.

The role emphasises teamwork, professional growth, and engagement with literacy, mathematics, Te Ao Māori, sport, the arts and environmental learning in a rural setting. The Teacher Bonding Scheme may apply.

Qualifications

• Current teaching registration and practicing certificate preferred.
• Experience delivering a broad primary curriculum is desirable.
• Ability to collaborate across staff and with whānau to support learner success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching for Years 1–8 in a small rural school.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment across core learning areas.
• Foster strong relationships with learners, families and the wider school community.
