Auckland City Mission - Te Tāpui Atawhai is seeking a Rongoā Māori Practitioner to support people across Mission sites and community settings. You will work as part of the Health and Connection team, using practices such as mirimiri, karakia, and other tikanga-informed approaches.

You will contribute to reducing health inequities, advocate for whānau, and ensure engagement is culturally safe and whānau-centred. We encourage ongoing learning and provide mentoring within our Mission community.

Competenze

• Demonstrated experience providing rongoā Māori support within scope and competency.
• Strong knowledge of te ao Māori, tikanga, and mātauranga Māori.
• Ability to engage with diverse communities respectfully.

Mansioni

• Build trusted relationships with tangata whaiora and whānau via outreach and site-based engagement.
• Provide rongoā Māori support within scope, including tikanga-informed approaches.
• Contribute Māori cultural perspectives to multidisciplinary planning and care discussions.
• Collaborate with Māori Development Services, iwi, hapū, and community networks.
• Work within role boundaries and identify when referrals to specialists are needed.
