Job summary
Auckland One Rail is seeking skilled Rollingstock Technicians to support Auckland's expanding rail network. This hands-on role ensures trains run safely, reliably, and efficiently as we scale for CRL, with a 4 days on/4 days off roster including night shifts.
The role offers an hourly rate of $40.61 and involves inspections, repairs, diagnoses, and adherence to safety and manufacturer specs. Prior trade qualification and at least one year in rail/industrial maintenance are required.
Qualifications
- Must hold a relevant trade qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in heavy vehicle, rail, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on rollingstock.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve faults using diagnostic tools and systems.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Respond to operational incidents, including after-hours callouts.
- Contribute to reliability improvements as fleet demand increases.
