Job summary

Brian Perry Civil, part of VINCI Construction, Auckland, NZ, is hiring to operate robotic cutting equipment inside live pipelines, perform CCTV inspections, and support end-to-end pipeline rehabilitation projects in a frontline trenchless technology role.

Candidates bring experience with robotic cutters or similar plant, a NZ driver’s licence, ability to read plans, strong teamwork, and willingness to travel for projects; safe work practices and quality focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating robotic cutters, CCTV equipment, or similar plant.
• Background in civil, drainage, plumbing, or pipeline rehabilitation preferred.
• Full NZ driver’s licence, with Class 2 or 4 advantageous.
• Ability to read plans, interpret data, and problem solve on the job.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with different teams.
• A reliable, hands‑on approach with a focus on quality work.
• Flexibility to travel for projects when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic cutting equipment to remove obstructions within pipelines
• Carry out CCTV inspections to assess pipe condition before and after works
• Interpret footage and record accurate, clear reports for project teams
• Work closely with rehabilitation crews to support end-to-end delivery
• Maintain plant and equipment to ensure reliability and performance
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to a strong site safety culture
