Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking multiple experienced Asphalt Plant Operators to join our projects in the Waikato region, including Cambridge. You will operate asphalt plant equipment and Class 2 machinery, working with Foreman and crew to deliver safe, on-schedule results.

This permanent, full-time role offers 30–70 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with weekend shifts. Wages range from NZD 28.00 to 35.00 per hour, with relocation coverage if needed and travel to various regional projects.

Qualifications

• NZ citizen or resident with at least 3 years full-time Asphalt Plant Operation experience.
• Class 2 driver license.
• Pass police check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant equipment and Class 2 machinery.
• Work with Foreman and Leading Hand to ensure safe, on-schedule completion.
• Monitor mat quality, setup, alignment, and material flow.
• Support plant operations, maintenance, and travel to regional projects.
