Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in roading, civil construction, infrastructure or maintenance sectors.
• Understanding of road maintenance, asset management or network inspection activities.
• Excellent attention to detail to identify defects and risks.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Comfort with tablets, mobile tech and computer-based systems.
• Proactive about safety and quality.
• Holder of a full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections across local and national road networks per contract and FIG.
• Monitor network condition, safety and performance against Levels of Service.
• Identify defects, hazards, risks and non-compliance; record accurately.
• Collect, analyse and maintain inspection and asset data.
• Support maintenance planning through condition assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and QA activities.
• Participate in incident response and after-hours duties.
• Travel across the Hawke's Bay network as required.
