Job summary

Downer Group is seeking a Cyclic Lead to manage a large roading maintenance crew in Taumarunui, NZ. Based in Mokau, you will patrol roads, identify faults, and supervise daily operations to deliver high-quality infrastructure support.

The role requires leadership, on-call readiness and a commitment to safety in outdoor environments. You will guide and train staff, manage resources efficiently and coordinate with teams to ensure timely repairs and road safety, with a strong emphasis on Zero Harm

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 NZ Drivers Licence required.
• Traffic Management Qualification or experience is beneficial.
• Experience leading and supervising crews.
• Be able to identify and repair faults and demonstrate problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated roads on a regular basis.
• Identify and repair faults such as potholes and drainage issues.
• Risk assess and set up safe sites for crew and public.
• Provide training and development for staff.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Work as part of a cohesive team to deliver road maintenance.
