Job summary

Bridgestone New Zealand – Somerfield, South Island in Christchurch Retread Factory is hiring a hands-on team member. This role involves working through clear processes in a structured factory environment and is suited to someone who takes direction well and doesn't mind hard physical work.

We don't require prior tyre or manufacturing experience. We'll teach you everything you need to know, and you will gain practical skills while working for a world-renowned brand.

Qualifications

• The physical fitness and work ethic to handle heavy lifting in a busy factory.
• A full, clean NZ Driver's Licence.
• A current forklift licence — or a genuine willingness to obtain one (we can support you).
• A solid understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on, active work in our Christchurch retread factory.
• Follow clear processes and procedures as part of a close-knit team.

The Role

This is hands‑on, active work in a structured factory environment in our Christchurch Retread Factory. You'll be working through clear processes and procedures as part of a close‑knit team. This role is best suited to someone who takes direction well, doesn't mind hard physical work and wants to build a skill set with one of the world's most recognised automotive brands behind them.

What You’ll Bring

• The physical fitness and work ethic to keep up with the demands of an active factory role where there will be regular heavy lifting
• A full, clean NZ Driver's Licence
• A current forklift licence — or a genuine willingness to get one (we can support you with this)
• A solid understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
• The legal right to work in New Zealand
