Job summary

Petstock Wanaka in Otago is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for our NEW STORE. You will deliver exceptional customer service, share pet care knowledge, and help customers find the best products for their pets.

You’ll contribute to store presentation, complete sales transactions, and work with the team to reach sales targets while maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment. Weekend and public holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar retail environment
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with memorable interactions
• Educate customers on pet care, products, and services
• Complete sales transactions and help achieve store sales goals
• Maintain store presentation and ensure stock is replenished and displayed

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
