About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Store Manager to lead our team and ensure the
smooth operation of our Avondale branch of The Uniform Shoppe. You will manage day-to-
day operations, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service. This is a full time
position with regular set hours each week (40 hours), providing you with a consistent schedule.
Please note that this position is not suitable for university students.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service (both in-store and over the phone) and create a
  welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Train and supervise part-time staff members.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets.

About You

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Friendly, outgoing and reliable
• Punctual and committed to maintaining a regular work schedule
• Enthusiastic and passionate about retail
• Ability to create a positive, customer-focused environment
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and sales systems
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand without requiring a work visa.
• Capable of multitasking effectively and relating to a diverse range of customers.
• A proactive team player while also capable of working independently.

Hours of Work

• 40 hours per week, with some flexibility.
• Must be available to work extra during our busy back-to-school period from mid-
  January to mid-February
