Job summary

Mountain Warehouse, Waitakere, North Island, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will partner with the Store Manager to lead daily operations and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll mentor a high-performing team, drive sales, maintain standards, manage stock, and ensure safety. Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:

• Partner with the Store Manager to lead a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team.

• Communicate clearly and transparently, ensuring alignment and trust across the team.
• Keep the team well-informed with product knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.

Operational Excellence:

• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain high visual merchandising and housekeeping standards to enhance the shopping experience.
• Prioritise health and safety, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring a secure environment for staff and customers.
• Play an active role in recruiting and retaining top talent to build a strong and motivated team.
• Support in meeting and exceeding sales targets, driving profitability through effective strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and sustain store success.
• Oversee stock levels, ensuring smooth replenishment and accurate delivery management.
