Job summary

Counties Manukau Health is seeking a Respiratory Physiologist to join the Respiratory and Sleep Physiology team, primarily based at Manukau Health Park. You will perform respiratory function investigations and participate in exercise testing, quality assurance, and service improvement activities.

The role offers opportunities to work within multidisciplinary respiratory and sleep services and to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance competency and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in physiology or related health science.
• Registered with CPRB or eligible for registration.
• Eligible to obtain APC (Annual Practising Certificate).
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Commitment to respiratory competency pathway and CRFS credential when required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of respiratory function investigations (spirometry, lung volumes, gas transfer testing).
• Participate in exercise testing services.
• Assist with quality assurance and service improvement activities.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary respiratory and sleep services.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency programmes.
