Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā, based across North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals, seeks two Cardiac Physiologists to join our cardiology service in Auckland. The role involves Holter scanning/reporting, ECGs, exercise treadmill tests, and remote monitoring, with involvement in catheterisation procedures and device implants as required.

A minimum 1–2 years experience and registration with CPRB/SCT are expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified Cardiac Physiologist with 1–2 years experience.
• SCT member and CPRB registered with Annual Practising Certificate.
• Based across North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals in Auckland.

Responsibilities

• Perform Holter scanning and reporting to a high standard.
• Conduct ECGs, ABU and Event monitor fitting, ETTs and Spirometry.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures and device clinics.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in remote monitoring.

About the Role The Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand Waitematā are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to join our team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in procedures such as Holter scanning/reporting, cardiac catherisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies). We also fully support all cardiac device implants and manage cardiac device clinics and remote monitoring. Our team of Cardiac Technicians perform most of the following tests ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting, Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry. However sometimes physiologists need to support these to. You will be responsible for performing the above tests to a very high standard of accuracy and maintaining good documentation. Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area. About you The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB), as well as hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
