Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites a Clinical Sleep Physiologist to join the Adult Sleep and Ventilatory Service in Auckland. The role involves independent sleep investigations (Level 1, 3, 4 and MSLT), initiating PAP therapy, analysing sleep studies, and guiding PAP adherence with patient education and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in quality improvement, and commit to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in a relevant field and CPRB registration preferred.
• 2+ years experience as a Sleep Physiologist in both lab and clinical settings.
• Willingness to work shift hours and align with service values.
• Strong communication and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform Level 1, 3, and 4 sleep tests and MSLT.
• Initiate and titrate PAP therapy for patients.
• Analyze sleep studies and interpret PAP adherence data.
• Provide PAP education and ongoing patient support.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
