Job summary

The Wellington is seeking a Food Services Manager to lead the dietary operation, ensuring high-quality meals and compassionate care for residents. You will manage resources, budgets, and compliance under Long-Term Care standards, reporting to the Executive Director.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for teamwork, with salary offered at CAD 65,000 per year for a temporary leave coverage. This on-site position includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of long-term care concepts and philosophies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CSNM certification or registered dietitian preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in town hall meetings and departmental meetings to ensure open communication.
• Lead the Food Service team to deliver quality dining experiences for residents.
• Monitor quality of care and services under regulatory standards.
• Manage budgets, inventory, and sourcing of food twice weekly.
• Collaborate with a Registered Dietitian on resident nutrition care.
• Support staff development through training and mentoring.
